Conditions: Sunny bluebird skies, warm temps, soft slushy snow, chop, chunder, and perfect hero groomers.

Flex: This board comes in slightly below a middle of the road and I mean ever so slightly. It has a ton of flex in the tips that’s accentuated by the rocker zone then stiffens up right where it meets the camber section. That flex runs through the middle of the board. The torsional flex is highly abundant and lets you twist this deck.

Stability: The tips get super chattery at speeds and in rutted out terrain. You can feel all that flap coming back underfoot. The camber section through the middle is more stable but you will still want to keep your knees bent. This board is super lively.

Ollies: The camber section is so easy to engage and load up that when you roll back on the rocker section it just springs right from where the two connect. This gives you some solid boost. So launch that sidehit, pop that roller, and ollie that fat skier kid. You have this!

Pop On Jumps: This boards at home on jumps whether small to medium and even some large if you’re feeling fiesty. This is a deck you can be laid back and let the lip throw you or you can be assertive and pop off it with relative ease.

Butterability: That rocker section in the tips just helps give this board an immense sweet spot. It just locks into presses and lets you get weird without fighting you but still retains snap due to the camber section. So when you’re ready to disengage the butter let it snap out.

Jibbing: This board excels at it, obviously I mean look at the shape, camber, and flex. All three of those things work together to allow you to nose or tail press and stay locked in but still snap out of the end of the feature. This is a board that you can be super calculated with or laid back and still have fun jibbing everything in the park. When you get sideways while the board is stiffer between the feet it still has enough give to lock you into a board slide and not worry about it.

Carving: This board is super easy to turn, I don’t mean carve, I mean turn. It’s just got such a soft flex that you can just get it to turn without thinking about it. Now when it comes to carving the edge to edge transmission is quick and fluid with a nimbleness that lets you forget you’re on edge. When you drive the board hard you start to notice some of its limitations as this is a softer flexing deck. It will lock into a carve but when you go to fully lay it over you can over power it. Going back to the turning of this board the torsional flex works with the camber section between the feet and it just lets you steer with very minimal work.

Rider in Mind: Progressing intermediate all mountain freestyle rider.

Personal Thoughts: This board feels a hair softer between the feet since the last time I rode it. This makes it turn easier in my opinion with more ankle movements and less mid to upper body. This thing as I’ve stated turns well but lacks a little power, which makes sense as it’s the little brother to the Mercury. Is it a bad board? No, it’s a consistently solid board for what it is.
