The best riders in the world will soon gather in Absolut Park for the legendary Spring Battle. With its challenging setup, this innovative event is inciting the riders to give their very best one more time at the end of their contest season: Despite the fact that it is a World Snowboarding Elite Level event, fun and creativity are still priority at this relaxed jam session!
IMPORTANT INFO: Most of the participating riders are already qualified through the World Ranking, however the event is open for all riders to compete against the pros!

Top riders at Spring Battle 2020
Olympic gold medalists Anna Gasser and Sarah Höfflin, X Games medalists Darcy Sharpe, Staale Sandbechand Johanne Killi, BigAir overall Worldcup winner Reira Iwabuchi, Torgeir Bergrem, Judd Henkes, Mons Roisland as well as last year’s Spring Battle winners Lyon Farrell and Yuka Fujimori have already announced their presence. Be prepared for a super high trick level!
The format: FollowCam and Best Trick Awards
Different from the usual rush at other events, the riders at Spring Battle have five full days of riding to work on their tricks and get their best run in the bag. Each of them teams up with a followcam filmer or other rider while GoPro is supplying the necessary cameras and accessories for all teams. Each rider’s favorite run (displayed on an uncut video clip and handed in until 3pm on wednesday) will be judged by wednesday night. The best clips will be shown at the big final show on wednesday night and judged live in front of the audience.
In addition to the main contest, we are handing out three awards for the best Knuckle Trick (sunday), best 450 (monday) and best Rail Trick (tuesday). Riders who want to participate have to post their best trick for each category on the respective day (until 3pm) on their instagram account. The winners will be announced each day at the daily ESBN Show at 7pm.
The Best Trick Awards have a total price purse of 12.000 US$.
Daily Shows & Prize money
In addition to the big Live Show on wednesday, daily ESBN shows (Epic Spring Battle News) will be broadcasted from saturday till tuesday featuring all news and gossip from the day as well as handing out the Best Trick awards.
The total prize money at Spring Battle 2020 will be 130.000 US$ split between men and women, snowboard and freeski.
Cash 4 Tricks Skate Session
On tueasday, march 17th there is another highlight for all skaters: The AP invites you to the ‘Cash 4 Tricks’ session. From 2 to 4pm, the miniramp at the Chill House will once again be set on fire once and everyone can grab some cash for their best tricks.
