Dream Unlimited Corp., the owners of Arapahoe Basin (A Basin), have announced a purchase agreement with Alterra Mountain Company for the acquisition of the renowned Colorado ski area. 

Situated just 68 miles from Denver and renowned for its extended season often reaching into traditional "summer" months, A Basin will now join Alterra's impressive portfolio, bringing the total count to 18 mountain destinations across North America. The transaction, slated to finalize in 2024 pending regulatory approvals, has undisclosed terms.

Alterra Mountain Company is widely recognized for its Ikon Pass, granting access to over 50 mountains spanning the Americas, Europe, Australia, and beyond. Notably, there will be no alterations to the Ikon Pass 23/24 winter access at present, with A-Basin already included in the pass. Alterra's reach extends across seven states and three Canadian provinces, boasting renowned destinations such as Steamboat and Winter Park Resort in Colorado, as well as Deer Valley Resort and Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah.
