Angles, Grades…

Does anyone know of some resources that I can find information about the angle and grade of various mountains? I’m starting to keep a journal of my different runs and would like to get a better understanding of the terrain in general. I believe each mountains ratings, blue, black, etc., are based on the terrain of that mountain in general, someone will correct me if i’m wrong…
