I’m still struggling with trying to link turns and it really has to do with the straightening of the board between going from one edge to the next. The sudden increase in speed that comes with being flat on a board pointing down the hill is a bit terrifying for a novice like me. In trying to cope with this fear, is it fair to make this assumption: That on a wide slope, regardless of the level of steepness, you have the luxury or straightening or flattening your board while still in a traverse, and minimizing that pickup in speed, then starting to engage the edge and really enabling the rider to spend very little time pointing straight down the mountain (the moment of horror for every beginner).
