Blake Paul, a snowboarder from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has just signed a contract with Ride Snowboards. The reason this is breaking news is because he was a long-time rider for Gnu Snowboards, and the switch to Ride feels major.
The way that the Ride Snowboards team operates is seemingly a familial vibe. All of the riders are friends naturally. Think about it: Jill Perkins, Reid Smith, Dan Liedahl, Jed Anderson, Spencer Schubert, Mikey LeBlanc, and more. They all just kick it and seem to love each other, which makes the trips and videos and events and occasions that Ride embarks on and partakes in very attractive and exciting - and Blake fits right in. This video of Snowboard Mag breaking the news is hilarious and works to show that this switch for Blake seems like a big deal.
