From the 29 January to the 2nd of February Madonna di Campiglio was once again the stage of the five-day-long snowboard event of the year: 300 people have tried boards, boots and bindings of this season and, for the first time ever in Italy, also the stuff of the next season 2020/21. This year, first Mountain Mash Banked Slalom went down in the memory of Jake Burton. The mission was to create an event where everyone could have fun and enjoy the passion for snowboarding as Jake! The numbers of this edition of the Banked Anon Slalom were crazy: more than 150 participants, including 30 under 12, the youngest rider was only 6 years old and the oldest was 51. This impressive age difference is what best represents the true nature and aim of this contest: The inclusion of each and every one who wants to have fun on a snowboard, without limits!

Pietro Colturi, Country Manager Burton Italia commented on the extraordinary success of the 2020 edition: “This event, born from the enthusiasm and passion of those who believe in this sport at 100%, is the truest and purest expression of what snowboarding really is: a mix of a little bit of everything. Not only races but also entertainment and participation for both professional and amatorial fans of the board, for adults and children. Our goal is to always touch all the facets of the world of snowboarding, because to us it is not only a sport but it represents many other things.”
