Changing boards

I purchased a 2011-2012 NS SL and some Burton Cartel bindings to replace my Burton Clash board and Burton Custom bindings which I sold to my bro-in-law. I was wondering what type of changes I might see riding this upcoming season? I’m assuming turn initiations will be much sharper and quicker as the bindings are much stiffer
