This past weekend at X Games 2024 in Aspen, Colorado, Chloe Kim became the first female snowboarder to ever land a cab 1260 in a half pipe competition. What is even better about this fact is that Chloe attempted this trick during her third run of the pipe contest already knowing that she had won.

Normally, when an athlete already knows they have clinched the gold for that event, they will do a little "victory lap" with a high air or something like that, something that is at once a crowd pleaser and also a safe play trick. But that is why Chloe is remarkable. She thought okay, I got the gold, now let me be the first woman to ever complete this trick.

In the year 2015, Chloe Kim first burst into the public consciousness by winning her very first X Games gold medal, there by making her the youngest ever winner of a gold medal. So Chloe is used to being the first to ever do it in many regards, and we love her for it.
