Experiencing a new snowboard film on the big screen is a whole different experience than renting it from iTunes and watching it on your 13″ barely-hanging-in-there laptop. Fortunately for us, we were able to experience the Vans LANDLINE. premiere with even more excitement by traveling to Vancouver and getting the full experience.
In no particular order, here’s what went down:
Amidst the mist and under the moon, we snowboarded at Grouse Mountain with the Vans Global Team. Danimals, Mike Rav, Blake Paul, Darrell Mathes, Cole Navin, and Dillon Ojo told us their tales from the road and what it was like filming for LANDLINE., under Tanner Pendelton’s direction. We were invited to the House of Vans showroom and previewed their extensive new boot line — spoiler alert: you’re in for a treat for the 2018/2019 season. There was a meet and greet with the Vans Global Team and the folks at the local Vancouver shop, The Boardroom. We even were able to squeeze in a brewery tour and make a toast to all the athletes, producers, and filmers that made LANDLINE. possible. Of course, the grand finale of the three-day trip was watching the movie at The Imperial and grooving to Dillon DJing afterward.
Undoubtedly, it was an unforgettable trip and an even more unforgettable movie. Below are a compilation of raw shots from the memories made.

We can’t get enough of the feeling of disposable cameras. It is a combination of having limited exposures, being fast, light, easy to use, and perhaps most importantly the completely unique aesthetic retained in each image. Disposables is a photo series featuring photos from our travels. Moments in time from when we hop on a plane until we warily unpack our bags. They aren’t all in focus or properly exposed, and they aren’t all great images, but each and every photo speaks to experience and the many fragmented moments that together constitute travel and adventure.
