Mt Hood Meadows: Our gate accessed back country area known as Heather and Clark Canyons is prime avalanche terrain. What makes this canyon even more potentially deadly is it is terrain trap. High above, the head wall to these canyons is the massive Wy East face and the Newton-Clark Glacier where avalanches can start and build to biblical proportions and funnel into these canyons like a river.
