From Australia…

G’day, I want to visit West Coast USA (PC, Tahoe, Mammoth) and stay somewhere affordable, yet be within decent earshot of the mountains, hopefully with good public transport. Can anyone make any suggestions for places to stay in California thats on a budget that would be good for a few weeks of life as a bogan in your awesome snow-filled country?
