It is February 2nd, and you know what that means—or maybe you don't—but we can help: it's Groundhog Day. What that means is a groundhog in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania will crawl out of his hole today and look to see if he can see his shadow or not, and that will determine if we will get more winter or if we will get early spring.

Phil did not see his shadow this year, and therefor it sounds like an early spring is in line for us, which makes sense, because it does not even feel like winter ever really came.

In the American custom of Groundhog Day, the country's most famous groundhog makes a weather forecast for the upcoming season.

The grandest celebration occurs in Pennsylvania. Annually, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Gobbler’s Knob transforms into a bustling hub of anticipation regarding the duration of winter. The festivities are open to the public, and attendees can access the grounds from 3 a.m. ET. The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club hosts a series of events, including talent shows, banquets, and performances, both preceding and following the weather prediction.
