The 2012 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup season wrapped up with an event that went down to the wire in Valmalenco, Italy. Although Amelie Kober (GER) and Roland Fischnaller (ITA) were able to claim victory in the very last parallel giant slalom of this winter, the World Cup title went to their direct rivals in the race for the Crystal Globe Patrizia Kummer (SUI) and Andreas Prommegger (AUT). While the ladies’ decision for the Globe came to an early end after Kummer secured her spot in the finals and later on finished in second position before third ranked Julia Dujmovits, the battle on the men’s side was a super tight one
