January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month across the United States and Maine is among thirty four states participating in this celebration of winter. The health benefits of being active in the outdoors are well documented and according to Greg Sweetser, Executive Director of the Ski Maine Association, “Mainers have close access to outdoor winter sports but many have not taken the first step to try skiing or snowboarding.
