Turner Mountain Ski Area in Lincoln County, Montana has officially announced that they have had to close their mountain temporarily due to lack of snow and low snow levels. They say their resort is "temporarily closed until we get more snow" and instruct readers to check back periodically for updates.

Turner Mountain Ski Resort is an alpine ski area located in the western United States in northwest Montana. It is 22 miles north of Libby, Montana. 

Libby, Montana usually maintains a winter temperature of around 25 degrees and gets an average annual snow fall of 200 inches, but this winter they have had a severe lack of snow fall and a severe lack of low enough temperatures.

Turner Mountain is on the smaller side of ski resorts these days, with only one chair lift and 22 runs. This mountain is a sentiment towards the power of community because it is a volunteer-based non-profit organization and relies on generous donations.
