If you are a shredder, and my guess is that you are if you are on this page, there is no doubt you have heard the phrase "no friends on a powder day". It is a phrase we have all lived by for quite some time now, and for good reason, but it is officially retired now.
Burton made the call, and rightfully so. The meaning behind the phrase "no friends on a powder day" was that when there is powder to be had, it becomes every man for themselves. Think about it like surfing. There are not necessarily an abundance of powder days to go around, similar to good waves, so when they do come, it is imperative that every shredder gets theirs. However, after much tried and true testing, it has been uncovered that powder days are simply more fun with your friends. There is no getting around that, and we are grateful to Burton for making the official announcement.
