The forecast at Mount Hood Meadows Resort in Oregon has become too much to bear today, and they made the choice to suspend operations. Unfortunately, while snow is good and we want it and love it and pray for it, too much snow too quickly can be scary, dangerous, and tricky. Especially when paired up with wind or other threatening elements. Thus is the case for our dear friends at Mt. Hood Meadows. With 12 to 20 inches of snow expected alongside 50 mph sustained winds, they have made the informed decision to keep all of their employees at home for the day and keep them safe. Very respectable indeed.
