ASPEN SNOWMASS, Colo.—Mar. 8, 2019— Aspen Snowmass received over five feet of new snow in the last seven days with ten inches falling in the last 24 hours. The storm is predicted to continue throughout the day with bluebird skies for the weekend and more snow in the forecast for next week.

This storm track has favored Aspen Highlands totaling 61 inches in the last seven days and above average accumulations on all four mountains for the year.

Nearly 33 inches have already fallen so far in March, the year’s heaviest month for snowfall on average, according to the city of Aspen water department, and the Aspen Daily News.

That puts total snowfall this winter at 154 inches — 8 feet of which has fallen since January — already exceeding last year’s dry winter with most of March and April still to go.

If your a fan of powder, it’s a good time to be in Aspen, Colorado.
