Snowboard Iskola

Antti Autti took a new approach to filming for his seventh video production, “Arctic Lights”. Instead of traveling to the ends of the world, he chose to film the documentary entirely in the Finnish part of the Lapland mountains, which he calls home. The hope was that by filming for the project closer to home, he could remain close to his family and therefore find a better balance in both his life and his snowboarding.

This area of the world, unbeknownst to most of us, has a sub-arctic climate and super harsh winter conditions. Some would consider it to be a no-mans land. For Antti to snowboard there and remain warm enough to be able to last, he’s had to rely on some pretty hefty gear.

Read on to discover what this pipe-gone-backcountry rider chooses to face in the frigid, and enter your email information below to enter to win his exact snowboard kit so you can face the elements in comfort too.

Korua Shapes Trannyfinder

korua-sjapes-tranny-finder- Antti Autti Snowboard Kit

Before we get into his outwear, let’s get into Antti’s board. Antti Autti likes to go with the Korua Shapes Trannyfinder for his explorative adventures. The Tranny Finder is the most popular board on Korua’s line, and features a traditional camber profile under the feet with a rocker section extending into the nose for improved float in deep snow. The poplar wood core and the polyamide topsheet are strong and durable enough to support whatever rugged terrain is beneath while remaining light and snappy for popping off of rollers, rocks and the like. Match all of this performance with a clean and classy white top sheet and red base, and you are looking at one of our favorite all-terrain boards money can buy.
