Risers!

What is the general concensus on Risers? I am asking because I wear a size 11 boot and medium bindings (in the K2 Hurrithane, which is what I’m considering) run 8-11 and the large bindings are size 11+. I’ve heard risers help with control, and I’m thinking if I go with the mediums I will need them with my rather large feet
