Recently, there has been a lot of discussion in scientific circles of the role that our star plays in global warming / cooling cycles. Along with the Earth`s climate heating, the climate on the other planets have also shown a warming trend. The recent massive solar flares and activity on the Sun have lead many scientists to believe that our star is reaching solar maximum that is expected to peak around 2013.
