Fact is we all came with about an hour of not being here. 1983 was a terrible year for already tense US Soviet relations and on September 1, 1983 the Soviet Union shot down a civilian 747, Korean Airlines flight 007 by a Soviet interceptor Su-15 over the Sea of Japan, near Moneron Island just west of Sakhalin Island.
