Despite horrible weather and snow conditions that forced Olympic organizers in Vancouver to refund nearly $400,000 worth of spectator tickets, American Seth Wescott was able to battle the field Monday to defend his 2006 Gold medal, making him the only man to ever win Olympic Gold in Men’s Snowboard Cross. Wescott is only the second American Winter Olympic athlete to win back-to-back  Gold medals in a single event, the other being speedskater Bonnie Blair, who won Gold in the 500 meters in 1988, 1992, and 1994.
