Forest Snags Cover and Interview in New TWS!

Forest Bailey steered his Space Case GNU Snowboard on to the cover of Transworld with a weird beasty magical lipslide as shot by Tim Zimmerman.  Then he used his A.S.S. Pickle technology and Magne-Traction to carve out a 10 page banger of an interview as well. Wait, this just in, with the help of his EC2 Banana Tech he’s also secured an insane video section in the movie Nation!  Stay tuned for more coast to coast Forest domination and remember, Keep Snowboarding Weird!

Wow what a day! I rode for a couple of hours at Timberline enjoying a legitimate powder day thanks to the storm that hit the Pacific Northwest on Monday and Tuesday. Today, our ridge of high pressure moved in with bluebird skies and warming temperatures. The snow was good but under the 2-3 inches of fresh powder, it was boiler plate ice as it has been very cold at night up here

Another girlfriend board thread..

So I’m trying to help my girlfriend pick out a new board for next season and possibly the rest of this season. She currently rides a Atomic Tika, but she demo’d a GNU Ladies Pickle and really liked the way it rode. I was thinking she would like the feel of a little camber in there and go with a camber-rocker-camber profile

Costs to demo a board?

I know this will vary widely based on location and price of the board, I just want a general idea of the costs for a board that would be $400-500. I have a 162 Billy Goat and wanted a shorter, more playful board to complement it

hey guys, im just starting out looking for a new board here are a few details to help; – begginner-intermidiate board (something to grow into) – all mountain (will be a general mountain rider, but i wouldnt mind the odd attempt on basic park stuff but not really a priority at the moment – hybrid camber shape „preferably” felt comfortable and unforgiving in the past but will like other feedback if otherwise – 5″11 (177cm) – 180-185lbs (80-85kg) – no budget restriction – leaning towards new flow nx2 bindings (for the obvious convenience, and new features compared to their past model) would i be on the right track considering the following boards; NS heritage or SL ride machete burton flying v lib tech gnu rider choice i know this thread topic is exhausted, however any feedback greatly appreciated thanks

Switch from traditional camber to C2-BTX

So, I would guess that there’s more than a few peeps around here that have gone from traditional camber to C2-BTX (or similar hybrid profiles) and I’m wondering how much different they really are/feel and how much of an adjustment period there was before you felt comfortable. Board for tall female beginner

I’ve just started learning to snowboard this year and I’m still very much a beginner-I’m able to snowplow down without falling, can manage some steering but only on my heel edge (like a „falling leaf”) and no turns yet (I’ll be taking lessons in a couple of weeks to improve on that). The end of season sales in Vancouver are starting, so I’m hoping to take advantage since after my lessons I’ll have sunk almost $200 into rentals already. Right now for me it’s a tie between the Roxy Ally and Gnu B-Nice (leaning more towards the Roxy) but I’m really open to any suggestions.

Shorter/Stiff or Longer/Soft

If there only was a 3cm difference between both boards, what would be more appropriate for a Beginner-Intermediate boarder(I can already link turns and am starting to do steeper blue runs)? I’m normally a 147 rider and that is the length of the Burton Custom X board but from what I can read it is a much stiffer ride for turning. The longer/soft flex one is a GNU Carbon and it is 150cm long and from what I can read it is much softer and forgiving(but 3cm longer)
