Board: Dinosaurs Will Die Kwon

Size: 155

Camber Option: Action Camber. Traditional camber into a flat section then a little rocker right before the contact points.

Bindings: K2 Indy

Stance: 21.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy

Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10

My Weight: 195lbs

Resort: Arapahoe Basin

Conditions: Sunny blue skies, no wind, cold temps, pockets of fresh snow, chunder snow, and fresh corduroy.

Flex: This board has that middle of the road flex that’s versatile and fun. You have play in the tips and between the feet, but it’s stable under foot where it counts.

Stability: This board is lively and yet still stable. While not a dead damp ride, it does do a good job of being able to absorb most chatter and vibrations. It did get bucked a little bit in heavier rutted out snow.

Ollies: There’s snap in this board. You load that camber zone up and it activates off the flat to rocker area and you spring. Be prepared to pop off everything.

Pop On Jumps: Don’t fear any sized jump with this board, it’s got you covered.

Butterability: Having that ever so slightly rockered zone in the tips coupled with that flat area lets you play around. This board locks into butters but still retains some snap and pop so you can pop out.

Jibbing: Get sideways, do a press, it doesn’t matter, just be prepared to have that rebound pop out out. This board takes a bit more effort than others in the DWD lineup but it’s not overwhelming.

Carving: This board locks in on edge and holds on. Whether doing a long drawn out carve or a tight full circle attempt you’re golden. Set it and forget it.

Rider in Mind: The all mountain rider that might lap some pow or the park.

Personal Thoughts: This board was fun, that’s the best way to put it. It rips on edge, did well in pow for being camber dominant, and even handled the park with ease. It’s a true quiver of one type of board and it’s got a lot of snap in it.
