Conditions: Early morning bluebird groomers and left over powder with colder temps and no wind.

Binding Adjustability: You have the standard adjustability options like the push down toe strap settings, flip cam length settings, highback rotation, heel strap placement, and bushing hardness. There’s really no lack of adjustability on these.

Straps: The toe strap conforms to just about any boot shape and stays locked down. The heel strap contours nicely and wraps around the boot making you feel secure.

Ratchets: The only issue I had with the ratchets is that sometimes the ladder wouldn’t guide into it immediately, it took a little finangling. Other than that they did their job and did it well enough.

Highbacks: The highback is there but not overly high so you don’t have to worry about it being in the way when you drive into it. It is a bit lower and you’ll notice that it has a slight winged feel on the outside where it cradles the calf.

Binding Flex: I’d rate this just past middle of the road. There’s a little bit of stiffness to them but that helps with the drive when you’re on edge.

Ride: The overall ride is smooth and stable. This binding does a great job of reducing chatter. You’ll notice the edge to edge transmission being more substantial due to the skate tech in them.

Rider in Mind: All mountain rider or as someone said a hipster surfer that knows who Captain Fin is.

Personal Thoughts: This binding was solid. It did what I needed it to do and matched up perfectly with my Cool Bean. I could feel it driving into the edges of the board and there was still enough lateral play to be a bit surfy in turns. The straps did their job and did it well enough.
