Size: 156

Camber Option: Micro camber. A minimal traditional camber with a small rocker in the tip and tail.

Bindings: Rome Black Label

Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy

Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10

My Weight: 200lbs

Resort: Copper Mountain

Conditions: Mix of blue and gray skies, with moderate wind, average temps, powder off the runs, and perfect corduroy on them.

Flex: This board has your standard park flex softer tips then right before the insert packs it stiffens up through the middle. There’s an abundance of torsional flex which really lets you twist the board.

Stability: The boards stable through the insert packs but the tips get super chattery and you notice them flapping around. In rutted out terrain keep your knees bent as you will feel the shocks from the variable terrain.

Ollies: The camber profile is easy to load up and takes next to no effort. The snap is there but nothing mind blowing or super engaging. Basically you load it up and it’ll rebound enough to get you in the air. The small micro rocker zones in the tip and the tail do give an ever so slight springboard effect to it.

Pop On Jumps: This thing can hit a jump that’s for sure. What you put in is what you get out of it so if you want to boost put more in, want to be laid back well then let the lip throw you.

Butterability: So here’s where this board sticks out. That micro rocker in the nose and tail coupled with the micro camber and softer flex allows you to have the most optimal platform for locking into a press. You can get your weight out over the nose and just swivel around however you see fit. It’s playful and doesn’t fight you at all which lets you manipulate it how you want.

Jibbing: Much like buttering this deck locks into presses and slides. You feel it hit its actuation point and stay locked in. It never fights you and that sweet spot is immense in the nose and tail. When you get sideways this board locks in securely around the feature and hugs it perfectly.

Carving: It’s a park board so there’s going to be some limitations for it. Can you rail deep hard Eurocarves all day on it? No, but if you need to do an abrupt carve change to avoid a feature or fat skier kid it has you covered. It really excels at mellow to medium carves and you notice that it steers right outside the insert packs. This is where it locks in. The edge to edge power transmission is smooth and fluid but not nimble.

Rider in Mind: Park guy that wants a little mellow camber in their life.

Personal Thoughts: For what this board is it gets it right. Is it the best thing out there? No. Is it the worst thing out there? Not by a long shot. It has a feel of a board you’ve broken in over the course of a couple seasons and you know how it’s going to react. It’s not the snappiest anymore but it’s consistent. This gives it a predictability.
