Board: Libtech Quiver Killer

Size: 159

Camber Option: C3. Camber 2.0 with a hinge point in the middle.

Bindings: Rome Black Label

Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy

Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10

My Weight: 200lbs

Resort: Arapahoe Basin

Conditions: Overcast skies, cold temps, flat light, perfect corduroy, and lumpy chunder.

Flex: This board has a full directional freeride flex to it. So slightly softer nose, progressively stiffening up through the middle, and then a stiffer tail. There’s a tiny bit of torsional flex but not really anything to write home about.

Stability: With the slightly softer nose you do feel some chatter out there but it doesn’t fully resonate back under foot. The rest of this board is very damp and just plows through everything with ease. You don’t feel too much under the board when you’re bashing through moguls, ruts, and fallen fat skier kids.

Ollies/Pop: The pops there but it’s not anything mind blowing. It gets the job done and you can feel confident that there is rebound in the camber profile when you load it up.

Butterability: The nose is really the optimal place to try to butter but speed and muscle are going to be what makes it happen. This is a board you really have to be prepared to work.

Carving: This board transitions smoothly from edge to edge with ease. You never have to worry about it being sluggish. What I found is that giving it a bit more space and knowing how to center flex the board and push off the tail will drive the carve more aggressively. Over all it’s strong suit is medium to long drawn out carves.

Rider in Mind: Oldschool freeride guy that wants one board to do it all.

Personal Thoughts: Meh. This board was just so meh. It’s like a more slightly subdued version of the Jamie Lynn or a not as lively version of the Dynamo. It feels like they’re just make a deck that panders to a very select group of people and there’s better in their line up. Sure it gets the job done and I do love the tail shape of it, but it’s not enough for this thing to stand out.

Comparable Boards: Libtech Dynamo, Ride Berzerker, Telos DST
