Conditions: Overcast skies, fresh snow, some light snow falling, cooler temps, chunder, ice, and corduroy.

Flex: This thing comes in at a middle of the road all mountain flex. So you have more play in the tips and right between the feet with stiffer sections right under foot. There’s a lot of torsional give to it which makes it playful.

Stability: The width of this board is what adds to the stability of it, but the camber profile and flex somewhat negate that. It’s stable to a point on a groomer with only minor chatter in the tips, but in rutted out terrain this board does get knocked around a bit.

Ollies: The pop is there and initiates off each camber section. It’s easy to engage and you don’t have to worry about loading it up. When you do load it up there’s a tad bit more engagement but nothing really noteworthy.

Pop On Jumps: I hit one tiny jump with it and it got the job done, but that’s not what this board is designed for. It wasn’t anything remarkable in this respect.

Butterability: The points on the flat nose or stabby tail can catch when you’re swiveling and sizzling so be prepared for that. You want to get your weight just outside the inserts to get the optimal lock in and when you do it holds well. There’s a little bit of rebound but nothing crazy so be prepared for that.

Jibbing: This board is fun to jib with and playful where it counts. You can lock in a nose or tail press and know that it will hold on. Going sideways it hugs the feature and feels secure.

Carving: With the added width you can get this board over on edge and it will lock in. It steers more underfoot than anything and you do want to push into it to get it to lay over. There’s a little bit of spring out of the tail as you exit a turn. Overall short quick set up turns or long hard drawn out carves are its thing.

Rider in Mind: Someone that wants a unique board that is more of a talking piece than a all mountain deck.

Personal Thoughts: The shape is unique and it has to be said that it’s amazing that they bent the edges for every point on this. Yes that’s right it has a full metal edge so there’s that. This is like a Lumberjack got into a vat of Toxic Waste and out came something that looks like Bart Simpsons head on the tail and a giant square on the nose. It gets the job done but at the end of the day this isn’t a board for everyone.
