Conditions: Cooler temps, zero wind, blue bird skies, and the firmest fastest snow and ice of the season due to 36 hours of sustained winds with gusts over 100mph.

Flex: This boards over all flex is slightly and I mean slightly past middle of the road all mountain freestyle. You get a slightly softer nose then it stiffens up right before the insert pack back to the tail where it gets the stiffest. There’s a fair amount of torsional flex to it which helps aid it with how you drive and steer it.

Stability: While this is a lively board it does a great job of dampening vibrations at speed. It’s the bigger jolts and jars that you notice more than anything. In really rutted out terrain it cuts through or plows over everything in its path. You never feel like this this deck is going to wash out on you.

Ollies: Whew this thing has snap. Load up the camber and prepare for it to rebound and yes you do have to load it up. Sorry for all you laid back riders but this thing wants you to load it up and it will be highly reactive and quick to rebound. You want to ollie a slow sign or a family of fat skiers it’s got you.

Pop On Jumps: This is where it’s truly at home. It wants to be in the air and the bigger the jump the better. The faster and harder you can send it the more you’re going to get optimal air time. Small to large this thing has you covered.

Butterability: Surprisingly for being a stiffer cambered deck this thing can actually butter. Sure it fights you and you will notice all the rebound it has but there’s a nice sweet spot in the nose that is marginally larger than that of the tail. But get into those sweet spots, balance your weight over it, and have some fun. Speed will always be the key with buttering on this board.

Jibbing: It takes a little more effort than most boards and that’s to be expected. Treat the jibs like you’re hitting a slopestyle course with more speed and finesse and you should be fine. Go in slow and sloppy, probably going to die.

Carving: Now lets talk about how awesome this board is at carving. It transitions the smoothest of any board I’ve ever been on from edge to edge. There’s a natural roll that just moves so fluidly you can’t imagine riding anything else. When you transition your weight back from the front foot to the center of the board it takes over with power and finesse. Whether doing a short tight quick carve or a long hard deep drawn out one it stays locked in and feels like it wants to push through anything in its path. The power this board has off the tail as you exit a carve is amazing you can load it up and spring right out of it.

Rider in Mind: High end all mountain freestyle rider that likes to charge.

Personal Thoughts: It’s been a couple years since I last got on this board but man how have I forgotten how great this board is to ride. This is one of the smoothest carving boards I’ve been on it just transitions from edge to edge and stays locked in the whole way. Only on straight sheet ice did it not grip. Overall I always forget how great of a board this is.
