Conditions: Overcast skies, warmer temps, wind, snow falling at times, soft mushy groomers, slush, and chunder.

Flex: STIFF! This may be the stiffest twin snowboard I’ve ever been on. You have a ever so slightly softer flex out at the tip by the contact point then it progressively stiffens up to the insert pack where it gets noticeably stiffer through the middle. There’s a little torsional flex.

Stability: This board is a chop killing, chatter destroying, damp ride. Any vibrations you get in the tip are gone before it makes it past the contact point. Underfoot you feel nothing unless you drop into a dip in the snow unexpectedly then it jars you. This board is very stable.

Ollies: This board has a lot of camber in it and when you load it up it reacts and snaps. It’s not poppy it’s just very reactive which gives you that catapult effect of getting you in the air. Speed is your friend on this thing so be aware of that.

Pop On Jumps: This thing says screw the small stuff take me to the big line. If you don’t pop and let the lip do the work it’s mediocre, but if you load the camber up and pop off the lip you will boost. I mean BOOST. But once again speed is needed and you’ll find yourself muscling that camber to get it to react.

Butterability: I died. This takes so much work and you’re muscling that contact point while trying to center flex the board to get anything out of it. Speed and strength are all you have going for you with this board so be ready to work it and hate life.

Jibbing: Go fast, press as hard as you can, and welcome to the world of mediocre presses. It’s not what this board is meant for so nose and tail presses just look non existent. When you get sideways it just balances on the feature with zero give. It’s a plank of a board to jib with.

Carving: There’s a fluid transition from edge to edge, it’s not nimble or quick, just fluid and predictable. You get it on edge and you can just sit on the edge letting it cut through anything in its path and leave a line behind. When you try to drive this thing into a deep hard carve you’re putting all your weight into the camber and the middle of the board it’s still not that assertive. The one nice thing is the power you get out of the tail is so massive that even a little effort gives you power for pushing out of a carve.

Rider in Mind: The hardest of charging freestyle guys who have some muscle or weight behind them.

Personal Thoughts: I don’t say this often, but I was scared of this board. It legitimately scared me to ride it because it had so much power behind its stiff flex. It takes a lot to drive it and even more to engage it. This thing will give you a work out and I’m not sure most people would ask for more. This is definitely a board for the .01% of people that watch these reviews and bitch that there’s nothing with camber that’s a twin and super stiff, the rest of you would be better off with the Beast or something like that.
