Bindings: Rome Black Labels

Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy

Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10

My Weight: 200lbs

Resort: Arapahoe Basin

Conditions: Sunny bluebird skies, warming temps, 4 to 6 inches of what can be described as hot pow, zero wind, and just a little bit of chunder for good measure.

Flex: It’s a fully directional freeride flex. So you have a softer nose then it just gets stiffer from the front insert back. Overall it’s not that stiff of a board but then again look at the size of it.

Stability: All the stability comes right underfoot and even that isn’t highly abundant. The nose gets a lot of chatter at speeds and that’s to be expected with the shaping and camber profile. In rutted out terrain this board can get knocked around so bend your knees and prepare yourself for that.

Ollies/Pop: There’s no snap in this board as there’s really no tail on it. All the pop comes from your back foot so what you put in is what you get out.

Butterability: The nose gives you a prime spot to do butters on. Pop into a 180 land on the nose and watch it hold and then pop right back out. It holds well and does its job. The tail is non existent so you’re doing high speed wheelies and that’s it.

Carving: This board rolls from edge to edge with ease and isn’t something you have to worry about. Sure you don’t have as much edge as other boards but it does hold due to the serrated edge technology. On edge you can rail a turn as it steers right underfoot. There are limitations though as you don’t have a tail to push off of.

Rider in Mind: Resort tree riding freeride pow guy.

Personal Thoughts: This thing really hasn’t changed and it’s always a blast to get on. It does its job and does it well enough. There’s something to be said about riding such a small powder board. It’s great in the trees and it’s decent in wide open pow. If you want something that’s zippy and easy to ride take a look at this.

Comparable Boards: Nitro Fintwin, Telos Backslash, Ride Superpig

Recommended Bindings: Union Strata, K2 Line Up, Ride C-6
