Size: 157

Camber Option:

Bindings: Low camber. A mellow traditional camber with 3BT and Sidekick.

Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy

Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10

My Weight: 200lbs

Resort: Copper Mountain

Conditions: A mix of clouds and sun, cooler temps, 6 inches of fresh snow on top of groomers, chop, chunder, and a little ice.

Flex: This board is obviously fully directional in its shape meaning softer nose that progressively gets stiffer towards the tail. There’s a little bit of torsional flex but nothing majorly noticeable. Over all it’s a stiffer party board coming in past middle of the road in the freeride spectrum.

Stability: The width of this board coupled with the flex makes it super stable. It plows through chop and chunder with relative ease and you never feel like it’s going to fold.

Ollies/Pop: The camber profile is really easy to load up as it’s so mellow. When you do load it up it snaps predictably but isn’t mind blowing. At the end of the day it’s got enough snap to pop off a roller or side hit.

Butterability: The nose has a more pronounced 3BT and Sidekick technology so that helps spoon it out more. This board does have a bit more stiffness to it so you have to manhandle it. The tail is stiffer than the nose so you have to really press into it. Is it butterable? Yes, is it fun? Eh that’s debatable.

Carving: This board rolls from edge to edge with ease even though it’s wider. The 3BT really helps you with this. On edge it turns how you would think and holds an edge well enough on soft snow, on ice it leaves more to be desired. Short tight quick turns or long hard drawn out ones it can handle them all. When you really lay this board over you notice that no matter how hard you crank into the center of the camber section it doesn’t want to drive any harder.

Rider in Mind: Heavier all mountain party boarder.

Personal Thoughts: I really wish I had ridden the 54 instead of the 57, it would have been more playful I think. This board was like driving a boat. It just crushed everything in its path and felt delayed through turns. Overall it got the job done but man was it a workout.
