Boot Used: K2 Thraxis

Boot Size: 10

Board Used: Telos Mike Ranquet

Rider Weight: 200lbs

Location: Arapahoe Basin

Conditions: Sunny bluebird skies, warmer temps, choppy chunder snow, a little ice, and zero wind.

Binding Adjustability: There’s three flip cams to lengthen or shorten the straps. The highback has a forward lean adjustment.

Straps: The cool thing or I should say the unique thing with this binding is that it utilizes a three strap design. This helps with instep pressure and can make the adjustments a bit more versatile with customization. The toe strap is Nideckers take on aux tech and it grips super well.

Ratchets: These are a bit burly and just climb and release so well. No issues here.

Highbacks: These are stiff as you would expect from a full carbon binding. The natural forward lean helps with the responsiveness. When you drive into this highback it has a ton of power.

Binding Flex: This binding is stiff and responsive. It has a huge base tray which gives it a lot of surface area underfoot. You can really feel the lateral power out of this binding.

Ride: Responsive and lively is the best way to describe how this rides. The rubber cover pad does a good job of dampening some vibrations but not everything.

Rider in Mind: Hard charging rider.

Personal Thoughts: This is a stiff, responsive, and lively binding and it works. It’s not so stiff you feel like you’re killing yourself, instead it has a smooth responsive ride to it that feels like you’re not forced to drive into it all the time. The 2 degree canting is noticeable just like the natural forward lean in the highback.
