Resort: Copper Mountain

Conditions: Overcast skies with the sun breaking through at times, warmer temps, lumpy snow, choppy snow, heavy pow in spots, and some corduroy.

Flex: The overall flex of this board comes in just a hair below middle of the road. The rocker in the nose accentuates the softer flex in the nose. The tail is a bit stiffer. The torsional flex is highly abundant.

Stability: This board is super lively and will let you feel everything underfoot. In choppy terrain it can get bucked around. The nose has a ton of flap in it when you charge hard.

Ollies: The camber profile is really easy to engage which makes setting up for an ollie rather quick. The rebound out of this board is solid but not the snappiest thing out there. If anything it feels more predictable.

Pop On Jumps: I owned this board last year and know how it pops on jumps even if I didn’t hit any when trying this thing out. It’s predictable and gets the job done on small and medium ones but feels a little to soft for bigger ones.

Butterability: The nose being soft and having rocker really lets you press into it and play around but the tail while stiffer still lets you sit on it and get sideways. This is a board that really emphasizes being butterable.

Jibbing: It’s easy to lock into a press on this board and it holds the press. Going sideways you’ll notice the camber really cradles around the feature.

Carving: There’s a smooth and quick edge to edge power transmission that you can over power if you really drive aggressively into the center of this board. You want to keep it to medium carves with the occasional hard drive to get the most out of this board. If you really lay it over you can get it to wash out.

Rider in Mind: Buttery all mountain freestyle guy.

Personal Thoughts: I owned this board and rode it all last season. It’s softer than people think it will be and that is what lends itself to being butterable. In choppy terrain this board can be bucked around but if you’re riding pow and playing on a groomer it’s obviously going to be more suited to it.
