We all know that snowboarding has taken a lot from skateboarding. Let's face it: skateboarding was here first. Snowboarding has since taken many directions since its inception that one could argue is very far from its original skate roots, and that is why seeing something like the below video feels so good.
Right now in the current landscape, when we think of snowboarding, many of us may think of contests. 22 foot halfpipes, slopestyle contests, the Olympics, etc. To be the best contest riders, one may argue you have to spin yourself around 3 and a half times with corks and tucks - but it is nice to not forget where we came from. A lot of the first snowboarders were skateboarders.
This video shows some guys in their backyard who seem to have finely crafted a backyard bowl, and they are taking to it with the snow skate with immense style and skate-like tricks. It does not really get more skate than this.
