Due to the weather here in the PNW, my Hell`s Canyon trip cancelled but I was able to snag a trip permit for this week and spent 4 days on the lower section of the John Day Day River in central Oregon. While no real whitewater, it is an incredibly scenic, rugged and very remote desert canyon.
