waxing cleanup

Hey everyone, How do you clean up your snowboard wax after scraping it off? I assume that it would be bad for vacuum cleaners and such, and trying to clean it up off the floor with a paper towel/cloth would probably just smear it in. I was thinking that I should just do it over some newspaper and try to gather it all up from the floor that way
