It’s VÄLLEY RÄLLEY time again! On February 29th and March 1st 2020, the 3rd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards will go down at the Penken Park in Mayrhofen-Hippach Zillertal. Besides the open Snowboard Slopestyle contest and freebie Freestyle Coaching Sessions, there will be the infamous Penken Fun Ride Battle on the schedule for Mayrhofen. Without and doubt, Mayrhofen’s Penken Park ranks among Zillertal’s most popular snowparks. As every year, the Ästhetiker will be organising the infamous Penken Fun Ride Battle in their „home park“ beside an Open Snowboard Slopestyle Contest, freebie Freestyle Coaching Sessions and the Ride Snowboards Highest Ollie Contest. On the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY weekend, the freshly created Fun Ride course will be witnessing a fun competition, that is all about time scores, honour and loads of fun for everyone. All riders, parents, friends and snowboard fans are invited to get involved and sign up at Penken Park.
On the Contest dÄy, young talents from all over Europe will be showing off on the Advanced and Medium Line to impress the Ästhetiker Judges and rake in valuable points, medals, prize money and prizes. Event host Blue Tomato and outerwear partner Horsefeathers Clothing will be scouting for up-and-coming talents while Horsefeathers will be rewarding the best trick with a special prize. Further, the organization „Become-a-Pro“ will be at Penken Park all weekend long to offer a platform for young athletes who are looking for professional sponsorings.
With the third out of four results, interesting changes in the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall ranking will occur and the overall winners will finally be crowned new Royal Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY family 2020 at the last stage in Hintertux. All competing athletes are collecting points for the International World Snowboard Point List (WSPL). On top of all this, the first three stages are counting as ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austriacups. After the event in Mayrhofen, the best overall man, woman and rookies qualify for the Austrian Masters Slopestyle Finals.
As always, Rookies are gaining points in the World Rookie Ranking and the overall rookie tour leaders (16-18 years) will earn wildcards for the World Rookie Finals 2020. Find out more at Powdern.com.
